A 31-year-old neighborhood security guard in April Sound has been arrested after investigators say he sent a 16-year-old nude photos of himself around Christmas Day. Officers were also looking into similar allegations involving a 14-year-old who threatened suicide during the investigation, according to Montgomery County court records.
James Troy Little is charged with online solicitation of a minor, a third-degree felony, following a four-day investigation into allegations the security guard in the April Sound subdivision sent a 16-year-old female “inappropriate” mobile text messages. The investigating officer learned of a 14-year-old female allegedly also receiving “inappropriate” texts from Little, according to documents filed Thursday.
A Conroe police officer responded to the complaint related to the 16-year-old female, reportedly reading text messages sent from Little around Dec. 25. Some of the messages exchanged appeared have been deleted by the recipient, the officer observed. In the text messages, Little repeatedly asked if the 16-year-old was alone, the officer reported.
“Maybe later when (I) see you, you can kiss me if (you) want,” Little’s text messages reportedly read. “Oh and you are really beautiful and sexy and you make me smile.”
“In my bed, still,” the 16-year-old reportedly messaged in response.
“Well, lucky bed,” Little allegedly replied.
The officer then met with Little, asking about the messages exchanged with the 16-year-old. Little told the officer he is in contact with many April Sound residents and denied texting the 16-year-old. He then said he texted the 16-year-old when he was trying to text his girlfriend, according to documents filed.
Meanwhile, the officer investigating the alleged text message exchanges between Little and the 14-year-old was informed by the girl’s mother that the security guard sent the girl nude photos of himself and that the girl sent him photos of her breasts and buttocks. After the girl threatened to commit suicide, she was admitted into a mental health facility. An interview with authorities is pending, according to court records.
This same officer obtained the 16-year-old’s phone from her step-mother with signed permission to review it. Also obtained were a mobile phone bill printout featuring text message logs including correspondence from Little. A data investigator and officer found two duplicate images of an erect penis among the phone’s downloaded content.
Though Little’s mobile number and name were located on the 14-year-old’s phone, no nude images were found to have been exchanged between him and the girl, documents show.
During an interview Wednesday with a forensics investigator with the Children’s Safe Harbor advocacy organization, the 16-year-old said Little had sent her a photo of himself completely nude, an image she deleted. She said Little was friends with her parents, initially telling her he was 22 or 23 years old, according to documents filed.
The 16-year-old also said Little told her via text message that she was “beautiful” and had a “perfect body.” He hugged her at the April Sound Country Club gym and asked her via text message to kiss her on the cheek, she said. The photo found on her phone, the 16-year-old said, was from a schoolmate and not Little, according to court records.
The investigating officer and Little agreed to meet at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Conroe Walmart Supercenter at 1407 North Loop 336 West. Little said he accidentally sent the 16-year-old a nude photo of himself after showering and immediately apologized to her. He did admit to having contacted the 16-year-old on April Sound property and at the April Sound Country Club, including hugging her in his patrol car, but denied kissing her, documents show.
Little said he exchanged texts with the 14-year-old. He denied intentionally sending her any nude photos, but said it was possible he sent her one, according to documents filed.
Little is out on a $30,000 bond.
