There are too many businesses even to count that are not only operational but flourishing as well. Even counting the categories of business would be a task that might take days to finish.
Retail to manufacturing;
Electronics to clothing;
Technology creation to technology-dependent online businesses;
Everywhere a person looks; there is a business opportunity.
Even if you find someone with bad credit wanting financial assistance but does not have any security, there is a business idea here. Unsecured loans for Bad Credit were the manifestation of this idea.
Wherever there is a need, there is a business idea.
Now, some needs are colossal than others. Some needs are everyday requirements and others that may seek attention once in a while.
Need toothpaste every day, while you would need cologne once in awhile.
You need a gas stove for even the tiniest cooking tasks, but an oven would only be required for the big guns of cooking.
Need water and food for survival, while you need Coca-Cola and ice cream only when you crave them.
Similarly, some businesses are more crucial for both the sellers and buyers than other companies.
And one of the more essential ones is the trucking business or transportation business. Let us understand why.
What do Truckers do?
Have you ever seen a gigantic truck speeding on the highway?
Whenever I see one or even think about one, I always recall that one scene from the Final Destination movies, the one with the log truck. I know you remember that one.
What happened in the movie has non-existent chances of arriving in the real world. I want you to remember the humongous logs the truck was transferring from point A to point B.
And that is the purpose of trucks and transportation taken together.
They transfer everything anyone wants to transfer from wherever they wish to transfer from to wherever they want it transferred to.
You want to move from Edinburgh to Liverpool, pack up all your belongings in a truck, give it the address and rest assured your things would reach the destination on time.
furniture to retail orders;
sugar and jaggery to leather and silk;
plastic and glass to metals and paper;
Truckers transport anything and everything.
Why do Manufacturers Rely on Them?
Truckers are extremely important for everyone; however, they are all the more critical to the manufacturers.
The answer lies in the entirety of their production process.
A manufacturer can only start his production if he has two things in place;
- One is the machinery and the equipment to make whatever they are trying to make.
- And the second is raw material they would put inside the giant machines to make whatever they are trying to make.
Both of these would only happen when the trucker takes it upon himself to transfer both the machinery and the raw material to the manufacturer.
Can you imagine the mass production of shoes, without the highly competent machinery and the availability of leather or faux leather in bulk?
I am sure you can’t.
And can you imagine the heavy equipment and the bulk material being transferred in a Volkswagen?
I am sure you can’t
Without the trucker, the manufacturing process cannot start, but it can also not end. How do you suppose the manufacturer would transfer the produced products to the retailers and wholesalers without the truckers?
Can you imagine the packed Coco-Cola cartons being transferred in a Honda Civic?
I am sure you cannot.
Truckers are necessarily the foundation on which the manufacturing business is established, and they are forever going to reliant on them.
Thriving Even in the Pandemic
The pandemic has been extremely difficult for businesses all over the world. Be it art, cinema, or aviation. Industries have gone underwater because of the restrictions posed by the COVID-19.
When people worldwide were desperately seeking 15-minute loans from direct lenders for some semblance of financial stability, the truckers were making profits.
A reason for the same lies in the essential commodities’ supply.
During the nationwide shutdown, the essential businesses like pharmacies and grocery stores were operational because, without them, our survival is not possible.
And it was the truckers, who were working non-stop, even in the pandemic. It is to make sure that all of us were able to fulfill every necessity without a problem.
They were in contact with the producers, and they were in contact with the suppliers and eased our lives as much as they could, and we should be grateful for that.
The profits they earned by bearing the risk during the pandemic is one reward for them. The other should be our appreciation for them and their work; I do not think any of us regards the truckers as respectable as the other business class. And I hope this ideology changes today.
